Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the GIVE Foundation mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by GIVE Foundation for Social Impact, Inc. (“GIVE Foundation,” “GIVE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Purpose of GIVE
GIVE is designed to help connect individuals with volunteer opportunities, nonprofit organizations, community organizations, events, and other opportunities for social impact.
GIVE provides technology that facilitates these connections. Unless expressly stated otherwise, GIVE does not control, operate, supervise, or manage independent organizations or their volunteer activities.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
Some features of the Services may require you to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information reasonably current. You are responsible for activity occurring through your account and for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
You may not impersonate another person, create an account using information you are not authorized to use, or use the Services for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
3. Volunteer Opportunities and Organizations
Organizations may use GIVE to publish or manage volunteer opportunities, events, participation information, and related activities.
Organizations are responsible for the accuracy of information they provide and for the operation, supervision, safety, eligibility requirements, and conduct of their activities.
Volunteers are responsible for determining whether an opportunity is appropriate for them and for complying with the rules and requirements of participating organizations.
GIVE does not guarantee the availability, suitability, safety, accuracy, quality, or outcome of any volunteer opportunity or organization listed through the Services.
4. Volunteer Hours and Participation Records
The Services may allow users or participating organizations to record volunteer registrations, check-ins, participation, volunteer hours, or similar information.
Users and organizations must provide accurate information and may not intentionally falsify participation, volunteer hours, attendance, or other records.
GIVE may correct, restrict, or remove records when reasonably necessary to address errors, misuse, fraud, or technical problems.
5. Location-Based Features
Certain features may use your device location to help provide relevant functionality, such as identifying nearby volunteer opportunities or supporting event-related features.
Location features depend on your device settings and permissions. You may disable location access through your device settings, although doing so may limit certain functionality.
6. User Content
The Services may allow users or organizations to submit information, photographs, videos, descriptions, or other content (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting User Content through the Services, you grant GIVE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the Services.
You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit your User Content and that your content does not violate applicable law or the rights of another person.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, or harm another person.
- Submit fraudulent, deceptive, or intentionally inaccurate information.
- Falsify volunteer hours, participation, identity, or organizational information.
- Upload malicious software or interfere with the operation or security of the Services.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another account, system, or data.
- Scrape, copy, or systematically extract information from the Services in an unauthorized manner.
- Use the Services in a way that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- Misrepresent your affiliation with GIVE Foundation or another organization.
We may restrict or terminate access to the Services when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or when necessary to protect GIVE, its users, participating organizations, or the public.
8. Third-Party Organizations and Services
GIVE may contain information, links, integrations, or services involving independent third parties.
GIVE Foundation is not responsible for the actions, policies, content, availability, or practices of independent third parties. Your interactions with third-party organizations may also be subject to their own terms, policies, waivers, or requirements.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how information may be collected, used, and handled through GIVE.
10. Intellectual Property
Except for User Content and third-party materials, the Services and their software, branding, designs, text, graphics, features, and other content are owned by or licensed to GIVE Foundation and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not grant you ownership of GIVE’s intellectual property.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from protected portions of the Services except as permitted by law or with our written authorization.
11. Service Availability and Changes
We may modify, update, suspend, discontinue, or change features of the Services from time to time.
We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or that the Services will operate without interruption or error.
12. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
GIVE Foundation does not guarantee that volunteer opportunities, organizations, users, events, information, or other content available through the Services will be accurate, available, appropriate, safe, or suitable for any particular person or purpose.
Participation in volunteer or community activities may involve risks. Users are responsible for exercising appropriate judgment and following the safety requirements and instructions of participating organizations.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GIVE Foundation and its officers, directors, employees, representatives, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of the Services.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
14. Account Suspension or Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access to some or all of the Services when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with law, address security or safety concerns, prevent fraud or misuse, or protect users and participating organizations.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Services evolve or as legal and operational requirements change.
When changes are made, we may update the Effective Date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the App, website, or another appropriate method.
Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
