GIVE Foundation for Social Impact, Inc. (“GIVE Foundation,” “GIVE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored, and shared when you use the GIVE Foundation mobile application (“App”), our website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use GIVE, we may collect information that you provide directly or that is necessary to provide features of the Services.
This information may include:
- Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number, physical address, and user account identifier.
- Location information, including precise location when you choose to use features that require or benefit from your location, such as finding nearby volunteer opportunities or supporting event-related functionality.
- Volunteer and activity information, such as events you register for, participation and check-in information, volunteer hours, organizations you interact with, and related activity within GIVE.
- User-provided content, including photos or videos that you choose to upload or provide through the Services.
- Device and technical information, such as device identifiers and information needed to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the Services.
- Diagnostic information, including crash data used to identify technical problems and maintain the reliability of the App.
Some information is collected only when you choose to provide it or enable a particular feature or device permission.
How We Use Information
We may use information collected through GIVE to:
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Help users discover volunteer opportunities and community organizations.
- Allow users to register for and check in to volunteer events.
- Record and track volunteer hours and participation.
- Enable nonprofits and community organizations to manage volunteer opportunities and events.
- Provide location-based functionality when enabled by the user.
- Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services.
- Communicate with users regarding their accounts, activities, support requests, or important service information.
- Prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, or other harmful activity.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
Location Information
Certain GIVE features may use location information to provide relevant functionality, including helping users identify opportunities or organizations near them and supporting event-related features.
Access to location information is subject to your device permissions. You may change location permissions through your device settings. Disabling location access may limit certain features but does not necessarily prevent you from using other portions of the Services.
Photos and Videos
If you choose to upload photos or videos through GIVE, we may process and store that content as necessary to provide the feature you selected. You are responsible for ensuring that content you upload is appropriate and that you have the right to provide it.
Volunteer Organizations
GIVE connects volunteers with nonprofits and other participating organizations. Information necessary to register for, participate in, or verify a volunteer activity may be made available to the organization associated with that activity.
Organizations using GIVE are responsible for their own handling of information they receive outside of GIVE and for complying with applicable privacy laws.
Service Providers
We may use third-party service providers to help operate the Services, such as hosting, infrastructure, database, authentication, communications, analytics, diagnostic, or technical-support providers.
These providers may process information on our behalf only as reasonably necessary to provide their services to GIVE, subject to their applicable agreements and privacy obligations.
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain legitimate business and operational records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why it was collected.
Your Choices and Requests
You may be able to review or update certain account information directly through the App.
You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your GIVE account, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements.

Children’s Privacy
GIVE is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If we learn that personal information from a child has been collected in circumstances requiring parental or guardian consent and appropriate consent was not obtained, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information.

Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information handled through the Services. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

The Services may contain links to websites, organizations, or services operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and GIVE Foundation is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third parties.

We may update this Privacy Policy as GIVE and its Services evolve or as legal and operational requirements change.
When we make changes, we may update the Effective Date shown at the top of this policy. Material changes may also be communicated through the App, website, or another appropriate method.
